Description

PNW Components has given their most popular dropper post a major overhaul to add in some great new features that help maximise bike and body fit while keeping all the attributes that riders loved about the original.

The Rainier V3 maintains the reliability, consistency, and awesome value of the OG post and adds in a tool-less travel adjustment system offering 30mm of travel reduction in 5mm increments. Not only that, but PNW has reduced the overall length of the post by shortening the actuator and significantly reducing the length of the lower tube. This allows for much shorter insertion depths across all models so riders of all sizes can experience the benefits of longer drop posts.

Who's this item for: XC, Trail, and All-Mountain riders that want a quality post with a short insertion depth which enables them to have a longer drop.

Actuation style: The Rainier is a cable-actuated post.

Spring style: The V3 posts use an air spring with an updated cold weather-proof cartridge for unparalleled reliability across all sorts of trail conditions. It also features Tool-Less Travel Adjust which allows for the length to drop to be adjusted in 5mm increments for a maximum of 30mm travel reduction.

Infinite or finite adjustments: The Rainier is an infinite adjust post so it can go all the way up, all the way down, or anywhere in-between without any notches, or stops.

Internal or externally routed: This is an internally routed post so your bike will need internal dropper post routing to enable it to be installed.

Lever included: The V3 posts do not come with a remote included. The Rainier is compatible with all PNW levers and most cable-actuated levers from other brands.

Includes cable / housing / battery: No cable or housing is included with these posts. They come included with the lever kits.

Saddle clamp style: Classic 2-bolt clamp allows for fine adjustment of fore/aft tilt.

Stand out features: The drop of the post can easily be adjusted in 5mm increments up to an overall reduction of 30mm. No tools are required. Just follow the instructions in the images and you'll be sweet. 3-year warranty!

    Great post for the money, Drops quickly, locks at all points along the post and returns fast enough. Slight weight penalty. Very easy to install on my Specialized stump jumper 29. Well recommended 👍

    Plug'n'Play -> Works Like a Charm

    Bought this as a replacement for the OEM KS Rage-i that came with the bike.

    The original worked fine (albeit inexplicably short), to begin with. But when it became problematic - would no longer return to full extension and slow to return - I discovered that the model cannot be serviced without specific KS tools. Ridiculous.

    So, we cut our losses and got a better (and longer) post. Easily accommodates the additional length, partly due to room in the seat tube and the lower profile of the post.

    Works like a charm with the original lever. Although I would very much like to try the PNW lever, as they're highly touted and will probably work better with the stiffer PNW dropper mechanism.

    Quality dropper post non the less, comes up and down smooth and quick, only problem is there is a little bit more of wiggle side to side than usual. And when installing the post make sure to freeze up the rail places otherwise they will creak

    Awesome product

    I’ve had a variety of droppers and this was the easiest to set up, smooth action, combined with Liam

    Lever rockin’. Will definitely buy more PNW products.
