Are you our next Admin Superstar?
MTB Direct is a leading online retailer selling mountain bike parts, clothing and accessories to riders across Australia. We’ve been recognised in a bunch of awards for our consistent, fast growth and our forward-thinking approach to business (AFR Fast100; Telstra Business Awards; Westpac Business of Tomorrow; Deloitte Tech 50).
We run on Netsuite ERP, and utilise a 3PL in Australia. We are an online-only business with a relatively large SKU count. We’re an entirely remote business, with all staff working in home-based offices in cities and towns across Australia.
So who do we need?
We are currently looking for Admin gurus from Australia to join our legendary team on a full time basis.
Why does the role exist?
The goal for our Administrator is to facilitate communication with our suppliers and respond to and resolve any issues. This includes identifying root causes of problems and recommending improvements to the team.
To be our Administration Support legend, you need to be -
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to keep yourself on track when switching between various tasks and systems.
  • Exceptionally clear in your written communication.
  • Process-oriented, meaning you are very comfortable following, documenting and improving processes.
  • Highly capable working with large amounts of data - you know what a VLOOKUP is and how to use nested IF statements; you’ll be comfortable developing formulas in Excel on a regular basis, and working with large quantities of data.
  • Stoked on our values and clear on what they mean for you as a part of our team and in this role.
  • Happy to get into the detail of inventory tasks in a busy small team.
  • Able to demonstrate MTB product knowledge is a bonus but not essential.
What are the requirements?
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate experience and success in:
  • Experience in administration or back-office environment
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant software systems (Intermediate+ Excel skills essential, ERP system experience highly valued)
  • Willingness to learn new systems/platforms to fill knowledge gaps.
Location:
Wherever in Australia. You’ll be working from home. Our whole team works remotely, using apps like Slack to chat and do regular calls. You’ll just need a home office / work-from-home setup with reliable, fast internet.
What does that all look like in practice?
Well if you’d been with us over the last few months, you would have -
  • Prepared and monitored approved supplier purchase orders.
  • Chased up and entered an invoice for the latest gear so that it could be listed on our website.
  • Worked with our Australian 3PL warehouse to investigate issues.
  • Run regular reports to evaluate delivery problems and resolved these with suppliers.
  • Collaborated with other team members to come up with a solution to an existing inventory problem.
  • Been the first point of contact for all Inventory emails.
