Description
Half lid breathability paired with almost full DH protection, the Dropframe is there for you when you want to take the rowdiest lines, but still need to climb back up.
Who's it for: Hardcore trail and Enduro riders who are pushing the limits, or trail riders wanting heaps of head protection and coverage, but don't need or want the coverage of a full-face helmet.
Construction: Dual-density Varizorb EPS foam, spreads forces over a wide area and protects against both low-speed and high-speed impacts. M.O.RE. Guard (Mandibular Occipital Reinforcement Guard) that provides maximum coverage for the ear, jaw and back of the head.
Rotational liner: Yes, this is the Pro model that features the MIPS liner to provide you with extra protection for your brain against harmful rotational forces.
Straps: Single strap on either side, with a Fidlock magnetic clasp.
Retention system: No retention dial here, the fine-tuning fit is done with the neck and cheek pads (spare pads included).
Ventilation: 15 total vents. 8 large bore front-facing vents draw in air, while 7 exhaust vents pull that air over your head to keep you cool and aid in moisture management.
Padding: The padding is removable and different size padding is included to aid with fine-tuning the fit. Moisture-wicking, antimicrobial helmet liner.
Pros: Lower weight, and better ventilation than you'd get from a full-face helmet. More protection and coverage than you'd get from a trail helmet.
Unlike a full-face helmet, these actually look good with sunglasses, as well as goggles.
Cons: Polarising appearance. Still not allowed to race downhill in Australia with it, despite its extra protection. Fixed visor.
