Description

With storage capacity comparable to small backpack-style options, Hot Laps 5L is a capable hip pack, complete with a two-litre Hydrapak 3D lumbar reservoir and additional space to stow a bunch of gear on your rides.

The 2021 redesign adds a large pocket on the padded hip belt to conveniently stow a phone or sunglasses.

The main compartment features organisation for tools, food, and a light shell, while lower straps deploy to hold pads.

Side compression straps keep the load close as the water reservoir is emptied, and a breathable AirFlow back panel does away with hotspots and minimises sweat.

    Great cycling bag

    Have been using this bag every day for 18 days straight. Mostly it hangs from my Jones H bar when riding and that makes it very easy to drink from. It removed easily for overnight accommodation and when flying. The hydration bag is easy to access and clean. The only issue is that I stupidly lost the magnetic clip for the hydration hose. It holds a good amount of snacks and a jacket and the phone.

    Have been riding with a fair few riders also using this bag. It works well. Recommended

    Comfortable and roomy

    Very impressed with the comfort of this bag, and the internal dimensions for holding tools, food, phone and keys (and even a shock-pump for one ride). Waist belt is long enough to accommodate us more girthy gentleman...

    Bladder is good quiality although it is annoying you cannot detach the hose from the bladder (which is what I thought "plug-n-play" meant) to remove it from the bag.

    Dakine Hot Laps 5L - winner winner

    I’m loving the new Dakine Hot Laps Hip Pack. I’d normally ride with a small back pack with a bladder, but the hip pack sits comfortably on my hips and gives me a feeling of more freedom and leaves my back feeling cooler. I can easily fit everything that I need in it it’s awesome on long climbs and doesn’t get in the way when riding on chair lifts.
