Description

The SH-GR901 is Shimano's premier gravity flat pedal shoe. Made with superb grip thanks to its Michelin sole, it has added protection from a robust toe cap, raised and padded ankle collar and protective lace shield. If you like racing fast and sending big, this is the shoe for you.

Who's It For: Designed to be Shimano's most protective shoe, it is made to stand up to the rigors of Enduro, Downhill, or Freeride.

Pedal Interface: These are flat pedal only shoes.

Closure: They feature Shimano's speed lacing system for quick and secure adjustments. The laces are covered by an armored shield to help protect from impacts of debris.

Upper Materials: The upper is made from a durable synthetic leather with mesh for added breathability. The shoes absorb less water and dry quicker, to keep your feet fresh.

Sole Materials: They feature an extremely grippy rubber sole from Michelin with added EVA and a shank plate for better durability and protection.

Sole Type: The sole is broken up into three sections. There is a large central grippy section for the pedal interface. The heel and toe sections have added tread for better grip when stomping through the bush.

Weight: 390gm for a size 42.

Last/Width type: They feature Shimano's volume tour last which adds extra volume at the ball of the foot for better comfort and support, on and off the bike.

Pros: Maximum protection and an extremely grippy sole.

Cons: Wont breath as well as some other shoes on the market.

    Flimsy, sent straight back

All my mates back in the day used to run these so they have a great name. I had heard good things so I ordered a pair. As soon as I tried them on I sent them back. For that price I will go back to my Etnies which have a similar Michelin sole and generally tougher/more supportive for a cheaper price point. I find these to be thin and flimsy. They wouldnt protect you well but you'd also wear them out very fast.

Not as good as previous versions!

Have had 3 versions of these shoes now, but unfortunately these arent as good as the others. The flap closure over the drawstring lace isnt big enough for wide feet and therefore the Velcro is exposed, and the shoes are just super stiff. Ive had about 10 rides in them and theyre still uncomfortable and make my feet go to sleep! The Michelin sole is already wearing too- disappointed.....
