Description
The Shimano XT M8120 series cranks are built to handle everything you can throw at them. By utilising Hollowtech II technology Shimano is able to keep the weight down, while still creating a rigid crank arm capable of handling some seriously aggressive trail riding.
The M8120 cranks are compatible with Boost frames only. Check out the M8100 cranks for the non-Boost compatible version.
Who's this item for: Designed for aggressive trail riding, but would be at home on anything from XC to Enduro riding.
Spindle Size: Shimano cranks use a 24mm spindle.
Weight: Approximately 620gm with a chainring.
Chainring: A chainring is not included, however they work with Shimano Direct Mount chainrings.
Chainline:
- M8120: 55mm chainline - 178mm Q-factor - compatible with 148mm (Boost) frames only.
Materials: The axle is made from Steel. The cranks arms are made from forged Alloy.
Pros: Lightweight yet rigid construction, interchangeable among different Shimano groupsets. Protective adhesive layer on the crank arms is a nice addition to prevent wear from your shoes.
Cons: No carbon option.
