Description
The Shimano PD-ED500 is an entry-level, dual-sided SPD pedal that features a 'Trail' body shape for improved shoe contact and better protection from rocks, sticks and other trail obstacles, keeping your foot firmly planted and leaving you to concentrate on the trail ahead.
The Shimano PD-ED500 features a light-action, adjustable tension, open binding mechanism that clears mud exceptionally well. With sealed bearings and chrome-moly spindles, these pedals will hold up to seasons of use. The ED500 is perfect for XC and trail-type riding and work perfectly with XC-style shoes.

Cleat interface: They have a dual-sided cleat interface with adjustable cleat retention. Shimano states they work best with Shimano shoes and come with a pair of SM-SH56 multi-directional release cleats included.

Pros: Great value. They are adjustable, durable and offer efficient pedalling.
