Description

Today's hard-hitting bikes need hard-hitting forks. The all-new Rockshox 35 Gold RL Debonair Fork is exactly that. This fork is built for hard-charging on proper MTB trails but you won't have to sell the farm to afford it. The fork arch has threaded mounts for a neat way to attach a fender without having to zip tie it on.

Who's this item for: Cost-conscious riders after a burly fork for riding up and down mountains. Suitable for all types of two-wheeled hooliganism.

Spring type: This fork uses RockShox Debonair air spring.

Axle to crown height: (140mm Travel fork)

  • 27.5: 532mm
  • 29: 551mm

Fork Offset:

  • 27.5" 37/44mm
  • 29: 44/51mm

Max tyre width: 81mm / 3".

Compression / Rebound damper style technologies / adjustments: The 35 Gold RL uses the long-standing, Motion Control damper which features low-speed compression (with a lockout) and external rebound adjustment in an open bath system.

Travel adjustability: The length of travel can be adjusted internally by adding or removing travel spacers.

Volume adjustability: Yes it accepts the black 32mm Bottomless Tokens (yes, the 32mm tokens) so you can easily tune the air-spring performance to best match your own riding style and suspension preference.

Stanchion diameter: 35mm.

Axle size and style: 15x110mm (Boost).

Steerer tube standard: 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" Tapered.

Lowers materials: Magnesium.

CSU / Steerer tube materials: Aluminium.

Brake hose clamp / retention style: Moulded plastic clamp with retainer screw.

Brake mount style (and size): 180mm post mount.

Brake rotor compatibility (minimum / maximum):

  • Minimum: 180mm
  • Maximum: 220mm

Pros: Quality damping on a budget. Pretty much the same tech as a top of the line fork from a few years ago. The threaded mounts for neatly mounting a fender is a very nice touch.

Cons: The Motion Control damper in this fork doesn't perform quite as well as the Charger Damper found on RockShox higher end forks, but hey, it's also half the price.

    Most of my riding is fire trails and various trails through the bush and the 35 is perfect for what I want .... my bike is a Polygon Siskiu D6 21 model ... I've just had the fork fitted and the travel taken down to 140 from the 160 that the fork came with .. I've only been on the one ride with it so far as sadly the amount of rain we have had over the last couple of months has made riding in my area a nightmare .... the ride I did was around 10 kilometres out and back on a fairly rugged rough fire trail and the fork handled it really well .... so far I'm impressed with the 35 with it's performance and the improvement it's made to my bike .

    Again mtbdirect has been a pleasure too deal with and I must say it's impressive how good they are .

    Buy from an Australian supplier!

    The delivery time for the Rockshox forks was excellent in the middle of lockdown. I had previously ordered Fox 34 forks from a UK online store, paid for priority 8 day shipping, and heard nothing after 21 days. I had to prove I had purchased the forks with a screenshot before they would refund the money. They said I would have to re order. Not likely.

    Changed my mind and went a bit burlier with the Rockshox. These 150s replace the original Fox 34 130s which had broken. Despite being budget forks they are really great. Have had many rides at the local park and they handle jumps really well. Very plush. They also feel very sturdy and I cant notice any flex. Very happy with this purchase. They will give my Fuel Ex 9 a few more years service.
