Description
If you're a dedicated XC or Cyclocross racer, serious marathon rider, or even a casual trail slayer, the Northwave Razer 2 will provide you with the comfort, performance, and light weight you're after in a well-balanced package with maximum bang for your buck.
The XC10 sole provides a stiffness index measure of 10/15 giving you support for power transfer, but flex where it's needed to tame those trail vibrations and give you some comfort off the bike too.
There are TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) inserts in the minimalist XC tread to provide extra traction and wear resistance for those off-bike efforts and welded TPU reinforcements in the heel and toe to protect you from the trail nasties like stick and rocks.
The upper body of the shoe utilises unibody construction and matches strategically placed large mesh inserts with ultrathin reinforced synthetic materials to deliver unrivalled breathability and targeted stability.
Asymmetric lacing helps to remove pressure from the top of the foot for the optimum snug fit, and with a single SLW3 X-dial plus extra strap — the only dial with step-by-step and full release in a single button — your feet will be securely attached to the Performance Regular footbed for maximum support and power transfer without heel slip, discomfort or hot spots.
