Front-End Compliance

Synthesis XCT Carbon front rims feature a bespoke rim profile, internal width, and carbon layup to provide lateral and vertical compliance where it's needed most. Plow through rock gardens and root sections with increased directional control while reducing unwanted torsional feedback through the handlebars. The wider internal width of 26.5mm allows for a larger tire contact patch, resulting in enhanced grip and confidence on the trail.

Rear-End Stability

Synthesis XCT Carbon rear rims have a reinforced rim profile and carbon layup that deliver additional stiffness and stability when cornering aggressively. This construction results in a robust wheel with superior impact resistance. A slimmed-down internal width of 24.5mm offers a fast-rolling tire profile compared to the front rim, optimizing pedaling efficiency.

New Ratchet Drive Hub

The Synthesis XCT Wheelset features the new Ratchet Drive hubs, designed with low drag for improved engagement and durability. From the factory, these hubs include 36t ratchet rings for a 10º engagement, with the option to upgrade to a 54t ratchet kit for an even quicker 6.6º engagement. A machined alloy hub shell and alloy axle reduce system weight without compromising strength, while sealed cartridge bearings ensure smooth rolling. The gloss-black anodization process, complemented by laser-etched Crankbrothers icons, keeps the aesthetic sleek and classy.
