Description
The Cleanskin Traverse Knee Sleeve is ultra-light knee protection to help you keep the skin on your knees intact. Spills come with the thrills but you might not always think it is necessary to wear large bulky protection. The Traverse Knee Sleeves can be stowed away without taking up much room and give you an option in case you want to get rowdier than you were expecting.
Who's it for?
These low-profile pads are particularly suited to rides with lots of pedaling - XC, trail, and long-distance riding where you still want some protection
Pad:
The pad is made from a closed cell foam which uses the riders body heat to soften and is shaped to help move with the knee during pedaling action.
Fabric:
The sleeve construction is made up of three different fabrics. Covering the knee is a highly abrasion-resistant fabric that will stand up to the typical abuse of riding. Round the back of the sleeve is a breathable stretch mesh to help with temperature on control throughout your ride. The rest of the sleeve is made up of a 4-way stretch fabric to make sure the sleeve fits comfortably and moves with each pedal.
Weight: 196g (Size L)
Pros: Light breathable design is comfortable and low-profile so you'll be be able to pedal around in them all day. Good compromise between protection and comfort.
Cons: Sizing is crucial. If you don't get it right they'll tend to slide down if they're too big, or be too uncomfortable if they're too small.
Note: Please take care as to not pull the knee pads up your leg from the top of the pads as you would a pair of socks. The material is not designed for this and may cause tears. Damage to knee pads of this nature may not be covered by warranty. We recommend pulling up knee pads from the top and bottom of the pad with care, in a way that avoids stretching the mesh or damaging the stitching.
