Description
If you are after a pedal friendly knee guard with a good level of protection than look no further than the 100% Teratec. Designed with the principle of the right materials in the right places, they feature a large impact protective insert with a breathable mesh rear. Keep your knees protected and your legs cool, so you can concentrate on the trails ahead.Who's this item for: Designed for Trail or Enduro riders looking for a breathable knee pad, they could also be used by XC riders after a bit more protection.
Protection Style: The Teratec offers protection through a large gel insert with a nylon anti-abrasion outer skin. This offers tested level 1 impact protection.
Materials: The front features a gel insert with a nylon outer skin. The rear is made from a breathable mesh and the inside features a silicone elastic webbing.
Closure or Slip-on: These are a slip on knee pad. They feature an internal silicone elastic webbing to keep them in place.
Length of knee pad: The sleeve extends from midway up the thigh to midway down the calf, the protective insert extends from the knee and covers most of the upper shin.
Protection level: These are a moderate level of protection. They offer basic anti-abrasion protection and level 1 impact protection.
Removable protective inserts for washing: No removable inserts.
Pros: These are highly breathable and comfortable for longer days on the pedals.
Cons: Do not offer as much protection as a DH pad.
Note: Please take care as to not pull the knee pads up your leg from the top of the pads as you would a pair of socks. The material is not designed for this and may cause tears. Damage to the knee pads of this nature may not be covered by the manufacturer warranty. We recommend pulling up knee pads from the top and bottom of the pad with care, in a way that avoids stretching the mesh or damaging the stitching.
