Description

Required for EDC tool installation.

This is the required tool to install OneUp's new EDC tool. Due to the unique design, you will need to thread your steerer tube. This tap kit includes everything you need to make it an easy job.

Tap kit includes the following items:

  • Star nut remover.
  • Tap.
  • Guide to determine whether you have enough steerer tube showing and for a perfect cut.

While this may sound like a difficult job, you'll be surprised at how easy it was once you're done. Please view the following video for complete installation instructions. ​​

​Please note: You will alse need to purchase the EDC Top Kit to complete installation.

    It does the job

    When I realised I had to tap my steerer as it was too short for the threadless carrier I was a bit apprehensive. However, turns out with the tap kit it was dead easy. I'm now looking for other steerers to tap, just because I can.

    Well engineered!

    I've tapped a few threads in my time, this tap kit makes it easy to not stuff it up. YouTube tutorials are there to assist you as well. Well thought out kit, but if you're new to this type of modification, be patient, and follow the instructions, don't just leap into it and you should be fine.

    Easy to use

    Easy to use tool, A little pricey but 100% necessary for the EDC top cap kit. Rent it to your mates for beers.

    Bought some stuff

    Was a good time! They were good dudes and realised (as I purchased through a third party website) that we could combine shipping on another item I had ordered and refunded the money in ASAP. Churr (kiwi slang for thanks heaps!)
