Description

XL version of the standard AMS Honeycomb Frame Guard for increased coverage and protection on longer travel bikes. .

There's no doubt that mountain biking is rough on equipment. If you want to protect your ride and keep it looking new, AMS Honeycomb Frame Guards will go a long way keeping your bike looking fresh.

We strongly recommend this for anyone who rides mountain bikes. Not only will this protect your paint, it can also prevent more serious frame damage. It's extremely easy to install and in our opinion, there's no reason to not use this product. It will keep you happy and your ride will retain its value longer.

  • XL size is great for Trail, Enduro and DH bikes.
  • Includes 10 pieces to cover all the high impact/wear areas on your frame.
    • 1 large section for downtube.
    • 4 arrow shaped pieces for extended protection.
    • 4 strips for chainstay protection.
    • 1 retangle piece for cable wear and other customisable uses.
  • Minimum weight is 28 g.
  • Easy to install.
  • Automotive-Grade. Won't turn yellow over time.

Tips and tricks: Ensure that the surface you are protecting is clean and free of dirt and grit! You can also be creative with where you apply each piece. From our experience, other areas that suffer paint chips are the back of the seat tube and chainstays. If you ride in an area with loose rocky soil, then this item a must!

Sticky. Not easy to apply to vulnerable areas of chainstays etc. But seems to work well re:impacts

    As above.

    Convenient quality product

Took a punt with the design but the end result was pretty special. Great quality finish texture that improves the look of the frame applied to as well as providing crucial protection to that expensive carbon frame

    Good product but overpriced

    Pros:

    - Easy to apply (and reapply if you screw up) to flat/slightly curved surfaces

    - So fat durability is great

    Neutral:

    - Appearance varies based on bike colour. The ones with the patterns look great if your bike is a single lighter colour. Not so much if your bike is black or fades from one colour to another.

    Cons:

    - Really expensive for what you get. One pack was enough to do my downtube and one chainstay, with 2 smaller stickers left over (shock I used to prevent knee pad rub on the top tube).
