Description

The Stage Elbow Guard is the latest protection offering from TLD. It provides moderate impact resistance in a slimline, packable form factor due to its use of an EN 1621-1 certified d3o protective insert. The chassis of the pad is articulated for optimised arm movement and the Fitlock compression forearm band and honeycomb design silicone gripper ensure that the pad stays in place.

Who's this item for: The Stage Elbow Guard sits in the middle of the TLD protective range. It offers better impact resistance and coverage than the Speed pad and is less bulky than the Raid pad. The Stage sits right in the sweet spot that makes it perfect for aggressive trail riding and Enduro racing.

Protection Style: This is a slip-on pad with a visco-elastic d30 protective insert. The insert is soft and pliable under normal movement but stiffens up under impact to provide a moderate level of protection.

Materials: d30 protective insert, silicone grippers and a stretchy lycra material that holds the pads snugly in place.

Closure or Slip-on: These are a slip-on style pad so there are no straps. They will need to be the perfect size to ensure that they stay in place without being annoying or restrictive.

Length of elbow pad: The precise length isn't listed but the top of the pad will extend a few inches up above the bicep and the lower portion should provide partial coverage for your forearm.

Protection level: These pads use an EN 1621-1 certified d3o protective insert to provide moderate level impact protection.

Removable protective inserts for washing: The insert is not removable for washing.

Pros: A low-profile pad that provides a substantial enough amount of protection for most riding and will be comfortable enough to wear all day. If you do need to remove them they can easily be stashed somewhere without taking up too much room.

Cons: Slip-on pads require the fit to be spot on to work properly so there may be some trial and error involved in getting the size that works best for you.
