Description
The Troy Lee Designs D3 Fiberlite Helmet is a more budget friendly fiberglass option compared to the carbon version. But don't let the price point fool you, this helmet takes a lot of the features and technology from it's more expensive sibling.Keeping your head nice and cool is taken care of with 20 intake ports and 6 vents. The padded liner is removable so keeping this helmet fresh will be easy as and TLD have fitted some specially-sized contoured checkpads to ensure a spot on fit. You even get a TLD drawstring helmet sock to keep this baby in!
Who's this item for: This helmet is built for winning DH races, but would be great for shuttle days at the bike park or free ride as well.
Construction: This is a lightweight fiberglass helmet. It features wind tunnel-tested aerodynamics for minimal resistance. The added EPS liner gives it better impact resistance to keep you safe.
Rotational liner: There is no rotational liner in this helmet.
Straps: Features a stainless steel D-link closure for exceptional reliability and security.
Ventilation: Like the more expensive Carbon option it has 20 intake vents and 6 exhaust ports. Deep channelling in the EPS liner provides optimal airflow to make sure you stay as cool as possible.
Padding: It has anatomically contoured quick release 3D cheek pads that provide a snug fit, but can be removed easily in the event of a crash. The padded liner is removable and washable (so no more stinky helmet).
Weight: Weighs approximately 1225gms.
Pros: It features much of the same technology as the more expensive versions and even has internal cavities for audio integration.
Cons: It does not feature a rotational liner.
