Description
You probably thought all Rotors were the same right? Well, not the Catalyst centerlock rotor from SwissStop. In 2015 some pretty smart engineers did a lot of testing of all the main rotors on the market and analysed the results. They then used their findings to develop a whole new rotor, one that offered sustained endurance and effective thermal management. What does this mean in the real world? Less brake fade, shorter stopping distances, slower wear rates and better structural integrity. They even have wear indicators to tell you when they need replacing, some pretty techy stuff.
Who's this item for: Riders after centerlock rotors with class-leading performance.
Mounting standard: These are Centerlock rotors.
Materials: They are made with a two piece design consisting of a 7075-T6 aluminium alloy spider and SUS410 stainless steel braking surface.
Brake pad compatibility: They are compatible with all sintered and organic pad compounds but are optimised for use with SwissStop EXOTherm 2 pads.
Stand out features: Very low wear rate, wear indicators and excellent performance.
Dimensions / weight: The 160mm model is 1.8mm thick and weighs in at 128gms.
What's in the box:
- 1 x SwissStop Catalyst Centrelock Disc Brake Rotor
Pros: Class-leading performance and slow wearing
Cons: The performance comes at a cost, they are not the lightest rotors around.
