Description

The 100% Altec is a lightweight, well ventilated and (most importantly) protective helmet. If you're into spending long days on the pedals and you don't mind grinding up a climb for your decent, the Altec is the helmet for you. With an impressive 15 ventilation ports, an adjustable visor and a multi point retention system, it's got everything you need in a trail helmet.

Who's this item for: Designed for trail riding but would be perfect for any riding from XC to Enduro.

Construction: Made with a Multi-Density EPS foam, its lightweight but protective in a crash.

Rotational liner: Yes, it features a Smartshock suspended rotational liner. The liner is held in place by 14 Smartshock Elastomers that allow the helmet to not only absorb direct impact, but also allow the liner to move independently of the helmet to reduce rotational forces to the brain.

Straps: Quick release buckle and cam lock strap adjustment.

Retention System: Yes, it has a multi point adjustable retention system for a better, more secure fit.

    Definitely a worthy trail lid

    After crunching my trusty old bell super up at bright doing dumb things, it was time for a new head protector to keep safe what little grey matter I've got left. Fox and bell have served me well in the past, but I thought I'd check out the competition a little and the 100% came up with an excellent feature list for the dollarydoos so I took a punt.

    Fit is excellent and adjustments are easy.

    Chin strap stays away from your ears, and fidlock is the future of fastening

    Plenty of breeze comes through the ample vents

    Visor lifts way up out of the way if needed and I can squeeze a set of Oakley's in that space and be confident they won't fall out when I push the visor over them.

    If I had a gripe, it would be that the MIPS alternative they use sticks to your hair a little on the first use. After you've got a bit of head sweat on the rubbery bits though you never notice it again.

    All up, great lid and especially good features for the money.
