Description
The Fox Proframe Helmet was designed from the ground up to be the lightest full-face Fox has ever produced, coming in at 750 grams.
Although light on weight, the Proframe is heavy on protection, featuring a Varizorb EPS foam inner shell to protect against both high and low-speed impacts along with MIPS technology to further protect the brain from rotational forces.
Advanced in-moulding allows the shock-absorbing inner shell to be securely fused to the robust polycarbonate shell making a helmet that is significantly lighter and better ventilated. Speaking of ventilation, the Proframe comes with twenty-four big bore vents which help channel air through the helmet for maximum cooling.
Who's this item for: The Proframe was designed with input from riders competing in the Enduro World Series so this helmet is very much for people that need to ride up and down mountains all day. This helmet meets the ASTM DH standard as well as the MTBA DH guidelines so you could wear it for Downhill racing if you like, but it is meant for Enduro racing.
Construction: In moulded (Varizorb) dual-density EPS with a polycarbonate outer shell. One layer is a bit softer and one layer is a bit harder to provide excellent protection against both high-speed and low-speed impacts.
Rotational liner: Yes, this helmet features a MIPS liner to provide extra protection for the brain against rotational forces.
Straps: Chinstrap with a Fidlock SNAP magnetic buckle for fast and secure entry and exit, even while wearing gloves.
Retention System: This helmet uses the internal pad to provide a secure fit and does not feature a dial-type retention system.
Ventilation: 24 vents make it one of the lightest and most breathable DH certified helmets available.
Padding: Ships with a set of pads installed as well as a spare set of thick and thin pads (depending on what comes installed).
Visor: The visor is fixed in location but has been perfectly positioned to send maximum airflow through the helmet.
Weight: 750g (medium)
Pros: DH certified protection in a super lightweight and breathable package. You won't sound like Darth Vader on the climbs with one of these on.
Cons: The visor is positioned well but it's a bit of a bummer that it's not adjustable.
